CDO 1.2.1
ExchangeCompress requires CDO 1.2.1 and MAPI to be installed on the server. This is installed by default with Exchange 2000 and 2003 but must be installed separately with Exchange 2007. Click here to download CDO 1.2.1 and MAPI for Exchange from Microsoft.

- Delete Attachments option with rules – This option will clear all attachments found and replace them with a link to the path of the original file and a message saying that the attachment was deleted.
- User defined rules - this option allow you to enter any valid VBA expression through the Enter Expression dialog.
- Exclude Mailboxes – you can now identify a set of mailboxes to exclude in ExchangeCompress processing.

Version 1.0.25 - Added utility function to change the strings in HTML link stored attachments. This function currently only supports the HTML Links not any of the other types. Version 1.0.23 - Fixed problem with illegal HTML href characters (but legal file name characters) causing HTML links to not work properly. Added Utility menu function to fix up invalid HTML links cause by this problem. Fixed problem where program had to be restarted after registration or trial extension for key to take effect. Fixed problem with under reporting attachments zipped in Analysis report if Delete Sent Attachments or Sent Items options used.
Version 1.0.22 - Changed Security Requirements Section in help. The instructions to modify the Exchange Domain Servers group for Exchange 2003 Enterprise caused some problems with third party software that synchronized attachments to PDAs. The new instructions do not modify any predefined Windows or Exchange groups. Fixed totaling problem an Analyze mode when the Clear Sent Items option was selected. Fixed problem where temporary files were not being deleted properly in Analyze mode if the zip file was larger than the original file and not to be used. Fixed overflow error problem in reports that was causing 0 attachments to be zipped.
Version 1.0.21 - Fixed scheduling problem where specifying the number of hours to run caused the program to end after a few minutes rather that the specified time. Fixed problem on Windows 2000 where specifying a Home Directory Path using a local drive such as C:\User1 could cause the attachment link to not be reachable on a users remote machine. Code was added so this kind of path will be treated the same as where no Home Directory Path has been specified in Active Directory. Fixed program error on Mailbox Filter browse where two users share the same mailbox. Fixed problem with scheduler where any stop time specified other than 00:00 hours would cause the program to stop after 1 minute. Changed all registry access to read-only except where registry is actually updated.
Version 1.0.20 - Fixed problem where only users in the Users container in the Active directory were being processed and displayed for the Mailbox Filter. The entire domain will now be searched for users. The system mailbox is specifically excluded. Changed licensing for Analyze function so it is unlimited with the registered version as well as the trial.
Version 1.0.19 - Corrected problem when recovery storage groups are used in Exchange 2003 causing the error CDOEXM is not supported on Recovery objects to come up. Recovery storage groups are now skipped since CDO access to them is not supported.
Version 1.0.18 – Added Analyze function to run ExchangeCompress without updating to allow users to evaluate impact of changes without actually updating the Exchange stores. Added support to filter mailboxes by mailbox name. Added support to clear all attachments on sent items. Correct bug with digitally signed e-mails.
